Punch Line was an anime series that premiered in 2015, blending comedy, adventure, science-fiction, and fantasy elements. It followed the story of Yuuta Iridatsu, a high school student whose life changed after an incident involving a ghost cat caused his soul to become separated from his body. Using his newfound powers, Yuuta observed the lives of the residents of an apartment building and occasionally played pranks on them. The series revolved around his quest to uncover the secrets behind Earth's impending destruction and how to prevent it.
The show featured a cast led by Marina Inoue as Yuuta Iridatsu, with Sora Amamiya as Mikatan Narugino, and Rie Kugimiya as Meika Daihatsu. Other main characters included Ito Hikiotani, Rabura Chichibu, Chiranosuke, and Ryuuto Teraoka.
