Lost Universe was a science-fiction anime series that aired in 2003. It was set in a future where humanity had advanced to the stars, discovering psychophysics and exceeding the speed of light. The story followed Kain Blueriver, a Trouble Contractor wielding a Psy-Blade, and the AI hologram Canal aboard the spaceship SwordBreaker as they embarked on adventures across the Milky Way, dealing with various threats and mysteries.
The show featured a cast led by Megumi Hayashibara as Canal Vorfeed, Tomoko Ishimura as Millennium Feria Nocturne, Hikaru Midorikawa as Rail Claymore, and Masami Suzuki as Nina Mercury. It received a rating of 7.5 on TVMaze and had a runtime of 25 minutes per episode.
