Cyborg 009 The Cyborg Soldier was an action-packed anime series that first premiered on October 14, 2001. It was based on the classic manga and followed a group of nine individuals from around the world who were kidnapped by the secret organization Black Ghost and transformed into cyborgs. The series depicted their struggles to escape Black Ghost's control and thwart their plans for global warfare, using their newfound powers to stay ahead of the organization's schemes.
The series featured a cast of characters led by Takahiro Sakurai as Joe Shimamura, also known as Cyborg 009. Other main characters included Akio Ohtsuka as Cyborg 005, Chafurin as Cyborg 006, and Kana Ueda as Cyborg 001. The show ran for 51 episodes, each approximately 25 minutes long, and was part of the science-fiction and adventure genres.
