Zegapain was a science-fiction anime series that aired in 2006. It was a drama and action-oriented story set in a universe where Earth was threatened by alien forces known as Gards-orm. The series followed Kyo Sogoru, a high school student who, despite being the only member of his swimming club, became involved in a resistance organization called Celebrum. He piloted a mecha to fight against the Deutera Areas, which were created by the aliens, and experienced memories that felt strangely familiar, hinting at a deeper connection.

The cast included Kana Hanazawa as Ryouko Kaminagi, Ayako Kawasumi as Shizuno Misaki, and Shintaro Asanuma as Kyou Sogoru.
