The series was a children’s anime that told the story of a wooden puppet named Pinocchio, created by the lonely carpenter Geppetto. It was a story from 1976 about a mischievous puppet who was brought to life and yearned to become a real boy. Throughout the series, Pinocchio faced numerous adventures and misadventures, often deceived by the wicked fox Dino and his accomplice Witch. The show depicted Pinocchio’s efforts to reunite with Geppetto after being sold to a puppet show master, highlighting themes of loyalty, perseverance, and the importance of good intentions.
The cast included Junji Chiba as Geppetto and Masako Nozawa as Piccolino. The show had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
