Tactical Roar was an action anime series that premiered in 2006. It was set in a future where climate change had caused a perpetual super cyclone in the Western Pacific, known as the Grand Roar, which dramatically altered the earth and led to increased importance of shipping and navigation. The story followed Hyousuke Nagimiya, a system engineer, who was tasked with upgrading the Pascal Magi, a ship crewed entirely by women and commanded by Captain Misaki Nanaha. The crew aimed to prove their capabilities beyond the label of 'Alice Brand' as they undertook escort missions to protect shipping from ocean pirates. As their missions progressed, a larger global conspiracy appeared to be at play, exploiting the chaos of the new world order.

The episodes had a runtime of 30 minutes each.
