Smart Guy was a comedy series that aired from 1997 to 1999. It centered on T.J. Henderson, a boy genius who at age 10 moved from elementary school to Piedmont High School in Washington, D.C. The series depicted his attempts to navigate high school life alongside teenagers, including his brother Marcus and his friend Mo. The show explored the humorous contrast between T.J.'s intelligence and the challenges of fitting in as a young kid among older students.
The cast included Tahj Mowry as T.J. Henderson, John Marshall Jones as Floyd Henderson, Jason Weaver as Marcus Henderson, Omar Gooding as Mo Tibbs, and Essence Atkins as Yvette Henderson. The show did not have a rated TVMaze score, and each episode ran for about 30 minutes.
