The series centered around two main characters, Jaqueline 'Jack' and David 'Jill' Jillefski, who gradually realized they were in love at first sight. The show also featured a cast of supporting characters, including a brilliant but insecure med student named Barto, a womanizer bartender named Mikey, Broadway-actress-dancer Audrey, and Jack's colleague Elisa Cronkite at the TV station.
