Karin was a comedy anime series that blended fantasy and romance elements, set in Japan. It followed Maaka Karin, a vampire who suffered from a rare condition causing her to produce excessive blood. Unlike typical vampires, she needed to dispose of the extra blood regularly while maintaining a normal school life. The story became more complicated when a new student, Kenta Usui, transferred into her class and triggered unusual blood production, revealing her true nature.

The show featured a cast including Sayuri Yahagi as Karin Maaka, Katsuyuki Konishi as Kenta Usui, and Yuka Inokuchi as Anju Maaka. The series was 25 minutes per episode.
