Prétear was a fantasy anime series that premiered in 2001. It told the story of Himeno Awayuki, a girl who must overcome her fears to become the White Prétear and protect the life essence on Earth called Leafe. With the help of the Leafe Knights—Hayate, Sasame, Kei, Go, Mannen, Hajime, and Shin—she faced the princess of disaster and her demon larvae. The plot centered on Himeno's challenge to unite with one of the Leafe Knights to transform into Prétear and defeat her enemies.
The show had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
