Hyakujuu Ou Golion was a Japanese action anime series that premiered in 1981. It was set in the year 1999 and followed the story of five space pilots who returned to Earth after their planet Altea was destroyed by war. The pilots became enslaved and fought in an arena before escaping and discovering the secret of the sentient robot GoLion, which was key to defeating the evil forces of Emperor Daibazaal. The series depicted their battles and adventures as they sought to restore peace across the galaxy.

The cast included Akira Kamiya as Crown Prince Sinkline, Kazuhiko Inoue as Kogane Akira, and Mari Shimizu as Prince Aaron. Masako Nozawa voiced Suzuishi Hiroshi and Witch Honerva, while Rumiko Ukai played Princess Faara.
