Heavy Gear was an action and science-fiction animated series set in the year 6132 on the planet Terra Nova. It depicted Coliseum-style gladiator battles where good robots faced off against bad ones, based on the futuristic video game. The series used CGI animation to bring its futuristic combat scenes to life.
Each episode had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes. Its premise centered around the intense, robot-based battles in a distant future, combining elements of action and sci-fi genres.
