Batman Beyond was an animated action, adventure, and science-fiction series that first premiered on January 10, 1999. It was set in a futuristic Gotham City and followed Terry McGinnis, a teenager who took on the mantle of Batman to fight crime and seek justice for his father's murder. The show depicted his journey as he learned to navigate his new role, aided by high-tech gadgets and the mentorship of an aging Bruce Wayne.
