About Department S
Department S ended on 17 March 1970. The show was a crime drama series that aired from September 1969 to March 1970 on ITV1.
It was about an elite branch of Interpol based in Paris, called in to investigate cases that defied logical explanation or conventional police methods. The team handled unusual cases such as a jet landing in London with no passengers, a man found dead in a space suit in Soho, and the assassination of a wax dummy. The series focused on the different approaches of the three operatives and their leader as they tackled these mysterious and complex investigations.
The cast featured Peter Wyngarde as Jason King, Joel Fabiani as Stewart Sullivan, Rosemary Nicols as Annabelle Hurst, and Dennis Alaba Peters as Sir Curtis Seretse. The show did not have a rated score on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of 60 minutes.
