The show was a drama and comedy series that aired in 2006. It followed six otaku—each with their own unique troubles—who banded together after the mysterious death of their website owner Yui. They formed Akihabara@DEEP, a group dedicated to protecting the district and solving problems faced by its inhabitants, blending elements of humor and action in a setting rich with manga, anime, and gaming themes.
The cast included Kazama Shunsuke as Page, Toma Ikuta as Box, and Manami Honjô as Yui, among others.
