Yo-Kai Watch was a popular anime series that debuted on January 8, 2014. It was centered around a young boy who could see ghost-like creatures called Yo-Kai and had the ability to befriend and summon them using a special watch, which was the series' namesake. The show combined comedy and supernatural elements, targeting children and anime fans alike.
