Yama no Susume was a Japanese anime series that premiered in January 2013. It was a comedy and adventure series centered around two childhood friends, Aoi and Hinata, who rekindled their shared passion for mountain climbing. Despite Aoi's fear of heights and preference for indoor hobbies, Hinata's enthusiasm for mountain adventures inspired them to pursue their goal of witnessing a sunrise from a mountain summit once more. The series depicted their small-scale climbs, playful competitions, and new friendships formed along the way as they learned the basics of mountaineering.
The cast included Yuka Iguchi as Aoi Yukimura, Kana Asumi as Hinata Kuraue, and several other voice actors portraying friends and family members. The show did not have a rated score on TVMaze and had a runtime of approximately 15 minutes per episode. It was a heartfelt depiction of friendship and perseverance, set against the backdrop of outdoor adventures.
