X was a Japanese anime drama and action series that was based on a manga, and it premiered in 2001. The story followed Shirou Kamui, a young psychic who returned to Tokyo after six years. He was caught in a battle between two factions, the Dragons of Heaven and the Dragons of Earth, as he faced a destiny that could determine the future of the world. The series depicted Kamui's struggle to protect his childhood friends and choose his path amid apocalyptic conflicts and mystical forces.
The cast included Junichi Suwabe as Fuuma Monou, Kenichi Suzumura as Shirou Kamui, Mitsuaki Madono as Sorata Arisugawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Seiichiro Aoki, and Aya Hisakawa as Hinoto. The show had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
