Unknown ended on June 13, 2023, after its first season on TV Asahi.

The story followed Yamihara Kokoro, a top-notch reporter with a secret, and Asada Toramatsu, a local policeman also hiding his own secret. As their relationship progressed towards marriage, they faced the challenge of their concealed truths. The plot intensified when Kokoro decided to reveal her secret, coinciding with a new murder that drew them into strange and dangerous events.

Each episode lasted approximately 45 minutes. The series combined elements of romance, mystery, and supernatural themes, set against the backdrop of unresolved murders and hidden secrets.
