This animated series was a comedy, adventure, and children's show that aired from September 4 to December 1, 1989. It followed the adventures of Mario and Luigi, two plumbers from Brooklyn who were transported to the Mushroom Kingdom after falling into a drainpipe during a plumbing job. Once there, they worked to rescue Princess Toadstool and Toad from the villainous King Koopa, while also trying to find a way back home after the warp zone to Brooklyn closed.
The show featured characters voiced by actors such as Lou Albano as Mario, Danny Wells as Luigi, Jeannie Elias as Princess Toadstool, Harvey Atkin as King Koopa, and John Stocker as Toad. It was a 30-minute program with a total of 65 episodes in its only season. The series was rated 5.4 on TVMaze.
