Is The Sunshine Murders coming back?

The Sunshine Murders is currently between seasons. The first season aired from September 8 to September 12, 2025, on the network 5. The show’s return date has not been announced yet. As of May 10, 2026, no new episodes have been scheduled.

The series was a drama and crime show that followed the story of two very different sisters who teamed up to fight crime. Shirley, a farmer from New Zealand, traveled to Athens in search of her missing father and met her half-sister Helen, a detective. Together, they used Shirley’s ‘bush’ wisdom and wit to help solve crimes while searching for their father.

The Sunshine Murders featured a cast led by Emily Corcoran as Shirley Rangi and Dora Chrysikou as Helen Moustakas. The show also starred Peter Andre, Marina Sirtis, Chloë Stannage, Christopher Sciueref, Constantine Andronikou, and Whare Mihinui. It received a rating of 5.5 on TVMaze and had a runtime of 99 minutes per episode.
