The series was an action-adventure science-fiction drama that followed the story of Quadris, a planet twelve light years from Earth, which was conquered by an intergalactic armada. Matthew Star, a young man with extraordinary powers, fought alongside the royal family of Quadris but was forced to escape with the Crown Prince to a nearby planet to survive and develop his abilities, with hopes of one day returning to free his people.
The show starred Peter Barton as Matthew Star, Louis Gossett Jr. as Walt Shepherd, and Amy Steel as Pam Elliott.
