Star Trek was a science-fiction action and adventure series that originally premiered in 1966. It followed the 23rd-century adventures of Captain James T. Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701), a spacecraft tasked with exploring the galaxy. The show depicted their missions to seek out new life and new civilizations, embodying the iconic phrase "to boldly go where no man has gone before." The series was set against a backdrop of interstellar exploration, featuring a diverse crew aboard a vessel capable of faster-than-light travel.
