Is The Porter coming back?

The Porter ended on April 11, 2022, on CBC. The series was a drama and historical show set in the 1920s, inspired by real events. It told the story of railway workers from Canada and the United States who united to establish the world's first Black union. The narrative focused on their struggles, relationships, and the vibrant Black communities in Montreal, Chicago, and Detroit during the post-World War I era. Set primarily in Montreal's St. Antoine neighborhood, known as the "Harlem of the North," the show depicted young, talented Black individuals from Canada, the Caribbean, and the U.S. as they navigated a time of social change and hope for a better future. The series explored themes of activism, love, friendship, and resilience in a period when much was about to change for the Black community. The cast included Aml Ameen as Junior Massey, Ronnie Rowe as Zeke Garrett, Mouna Traoré as Marlene Massey, Loren Lott as Lucy Conrad, Oluniké Adeliyi as Miss Queenie, and Alfre Woodard as Fay. The series received a rating of 6.3 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 60 minutes.
