The Island ended on July 6, 2015, on NBC. The series concluded after its single season, which aired from May 25 to July 6, 2015.

The show was a reality-based adventure series that followed 14 American men as they faced the challenge of surviving on a deserted island without modern conveniences. Based on the UK series of the same name, it was a unique survival experiment where the participants, including a stay-at-home dad, a trauma surgeon, a firefighter, and a criminal defense attorney, had to hunt for food, source water, build shelter, and work together to endure the elements. Unlike typical reality shows, there were no prizes, eliminations, or camera crews—each man filmed their own experience, pushing themselves to the limits of physical, mental, and emotional endurance.
