The series featured frequent guest stars, including characters from the original series, and even saw Bea Arthur reprise her role as Dorothy for a storyline. After the show's cancellation, Sophia moved into the Shady Pines retirement home, and the fate of Rose, Blanche, and the hotel was left unresolved.
