About Tales of the South Seas
Tales of the South Seas ended on December 27, 2000, after its first season aired from September 5, 1998. The series concluded its storylines on Network 10, with no plans for a return.
The show was a family-friendly adventure series set in the exotic Pacific South Sea Islands. It was based on the classic stories by Jack London and followed the perilous journeys of the rugged and charismatic David Grief, played by William Snow. Alongside his Polynesian friend and partner, Mauriri Lepau, portrayed by Rene Naufahu, they encountered various dangers and adventures at the turn of the 20th century.
Tales of the South Seas featured a cast including Rachel Blakely as Isabelle Reed, Rowena King as Lavinia Timoto, Mark Lee as Reverend Colin Trent, Kimberley Joseph as Clare Devon, and Adrian Wright as Lieutenant Jean Morlais. The series had a runtime of 60 minutes per episode.
