Sugar Sugar Rune was a fantasy anime series that premiered in 2005. It was a story about two young witches, Chocolat Meilleure and Vanilla Mieux, who competed to become the next Queen of the Witch World. Their challenge involved traveling to the Human World to collect the hearts of humans, with the winner being the one who gathered the most hearts. Despite being rivals, the two maintained a close friendship as they embarked on this adventure.

The show featured a cast including Juri Ihata as Vanilla Mieux, Marika Matsumoto as Chocolat Katō, Ayaka Saito as Waffle, Chieko Higuchi as Yurika Kenjō, Chisa Yokoyama as Blanca, Hiroki Konishi as Pierre, Kenjiro Tsuda as Rockin' Robin, and Naoya Iwahashi as Soul. The series was approximately 25 minutes per episode.
