Scraps was a culinary series that aired from 2017 to 2018, focusing on creative cooking using food waste and scraps. The show featured Chef Joel Gamoran traveling across the United States to sources of food waste, transforming unlikely ingredients like banana peels, shrimp shells, and carrot stems into delicious meals. Each episode involved sourcing ingredients, building a menu, and preparing a meal for an outdoor dinner party in less than a day, often in unexpected locations.

This series was a food and travel show that highlighted innovative ways to reduce waste and celebrate local cuisine. Chef Joel Gamoran partnered with food waste champions in various cities to showcase how discarded food items could be repurposed into flavorful dishes. The series used tools such as the KitchenAid® Artisan® Mini Mixer and high-performance blenders to prepare everything from fresh pasta to veggie noodles. It offered viewers a behind-the-scenes look at food sourcing adventures in a refurbished 1963 Volkswagen bus, which served as his mobile kitchen.
