ROMES ended on December 10, 2009, after its first season aired on NHK.

ROMES was a Japanese drama and thriller series that premiered on October 15, 2009. The show was set around the fictional Tokyo Bay International Airport, which was recently built on an artificial island and equipped with the most advanced security system in the world, known as ROMES. The story followed the airport's first anniversary celebration, during which a challenge issued by an international group of thieves called Silverfox led to a series of escalating attacks exploiting the security system. The airport’s director called in the expertise of Yuya Narishima, a brilliant security specialist, to help combat the dangerous organization and protect the airport.

The series starred Tadayoshi Okura as Yuya Narushima. The show was a drama and thriller that aired for nine episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 45 minutes. It focused on the tense efforts to thwart the thefts and cyber-attacks, with a subplot involving Yuya's personal motives for being involved in the airport’s security crisis.
