Next of Kin was a comedy series that aired from 1995 to 1997. It followed Maggie and Andrew as they prepared to retire to France, only to have their plans disrupted when their orphaned grandchildren, whom they barely knew, became their wards. The series depicted the challenges and humorous moments that arose from the grandchildren's hostility, peculiar eating habits, and Maggie's resentment of the change in plans. Liz, the housekeeper, also played a helpful role in the household.
The cast included Penelope Keith as Maggie, William Gaunt as Andrew, Ann Gosling as Georgia, Matthew Clarke as Philip, and Jamie Lucraft as Jake. The show had a runtime of 30 minutes per episode.
