Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ was a Japanese anime series that aired from 1986 to 1988. It was set in the Universal Century 0088, shortly after the Gryps War, and followed the efforts of the Anti-Earth Union Group (AEUG) to oppose the Neo-Zeon remnants led by Haman Karn. The series focused on the young junk collector Judau Ashta, who was recruited to pilot the new Double Zeta Gundam and help defend Earth from the resurgence of Zeon forces.
The show was an action-packed science-fiction anime that combined elements of war and mecha combat. It continued the story of the Gundam universe, featuring battles between the Earth Federation, AEUG, and Neo-Zeon, with a focus on new characters and mobile suits. The series ran for a total of 47 episodes over two years, concluding its story in March 1988.
