Minder was a British comedy drama series that first premiered on October 29, 1979. It centered around Terry McCann, a former boxer with a conviction for G.B.H., and Arthur Daley, a second-hand car dealer with a knack for making a quick profit. The series depicted their partnership as Arthur hired Terry out as a minder or bodyguard while engaging in various business schemes.
The series featured a cast led by George Cole as Arthur Daley, Dennis Waterman as Terry McCann, Glynn Edwards as Dave Harris, and Gary Webster as Ray Daley. It received a rating of 7.8 on TVMaze and each episode had a runtime of approximately 60 minutes.
