The series was a supernatural action anime that premiered in 2021. It was set in 1923, a time when vampires had been present for some time, but their numbers were increasing due to a mysterious artificial blood source called Ascra. The Japanese government established "Code Zero," an army unit tasked with combating the vampiric threat, employing vampires themselves to track and fight other vampires. The story followed the efforts of this specialized unit, led by Lieutenant General Nakajima, to investigate the rise in vampire activity and prevent societal collapse.

The series consisted of a single season with 13 episodes, each approximately 22 minutes long.
