Katanagatari was a Japanese anime series that premiered in 2010. It was a historical action and adventure series set in medieval Japan, focusing on the journey of Shichika Yasuri, the seventh head of the Kyotō-ryū martial arts school. The story followed Shichika and his sister Nanami as they traveled to find twelve legendary swords forged by a master swordsmith, guided by a military advisor named Togame.
The series featured Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yasuri Shichika, Yukari Tamura as Togame, and Mai Nakahara as Yasuri Nanami. It had a total of 12 episodes, each approximately 50 minutes long. The show holds a TVMaze rating of 6.8.
