It was a comedy and action series centered around Takumi Fujiwara, a young man who secretly raced on mountain roads in his modified AE86 Sprinter Trueno. The story focused on his encounters with various racing teams and his rise as a skilled driver, set against the backdrop of street racing culture in Japan.
