Great Mazinger was a Japanese action, anime, and science-fiction series that first premiered on September 8, 1974. It was a direct continuation of the Mazinger Z series and followed the story of Tetsuya Tsurugi, an orphan who pilots the powerful robot Great Mazinger. The series depicted Tetsuya's battles against the Miccene Empire, with support from Dr. Kenzo Kabuto and his adoptive sister Jun Honou.
The cast included Kenichi Ogata as Ankoku Daishogun. The show had a runtime of approximately 25 minutes per episode.
