Is Gate Keepers coming back?

Gate Keepers ended on January 8, 2003. The series concluded after its second season, which wrapped up its story arc. The show originally aired on WOWOW, with its final episode broadcast on the same day as the previous episode, marking the end of its run.

Gate Keepers was an action-packed anime series set in an alternate 1969 Japan. It followed a group of teenagers who were recruited into a secret government organization called Aegis to combat an alien enemy known as the Invader. These Invaders could turn ordinary citizens into zombies, and only the Gate Keepers had the ability to open the Gate to their dimension and eliminate the threat. The story began with high school student Ukiya Shun witnessing an Invader attack and discovering his own special powers, which led to his induction into Aegis. The series depicted their battles using a variety of unique abilities, from magic arrows to hallucinogenic music, as they fought to protect the world.

The cast included Ayako Kawasumi as Ruriko Ikusawa, Takahiro Sakurai as Shun Ukiya, and several other voice actors portraying key members of the team.
