The show was a food competition series that aired in 2017, where pastry chef Duff Goldman took over the Triple-G Flavortown Market, transforming it into Sweet City. Each week, four pastry chefs competed in baking challenges that involved shopping, preparing, and plating desserts across three rounds. The challenges ranged from using savory ingredients in desserts to creatively reimagining store-bought treats and impersonating classic desserts. Contestants had to navigate shopping shortcuts and food hacks to impress a rotating panel of judges and vie for a grand prize of $10,000.
