Citizen Khan was a sitcom set in Birmingham that aired from 2012 to 2016. It was a comedy series that centered around Mr Khan, a self-appointed Muslim community leader, and the various trials and tribulations faced by his family and community members. The show depicted their everyday lives, cultural interactions, and humorous misunderstandings.
The cast included Adil Ray as Mr Khan, Shobu Kapoor as Mrs Khan, Maya Sondhi and Krupa Pattani as Shazia Khan, Bhavna Limbachia as Alia Khan, Abdullah Afzal as Amjad, Kris Marshall as Dave Goody, and Matthew Cottle as Dave. The series had a rating of 6.7 on TVMaze and each episode ran approximately 30 minutes.
