It followed the adventures of two bushrangers, Sam Cash and Joe Brady, who were wanted by the law but managed to stay one step ahead of the authorities through their cleverness and resourcefulness. The series depicted their escapades and the challenges they faced while living outside the law.
The cast included Serge Lazareff as Sam Cash, Gus Mercurio as Joe Brady, Penne Hackforth-Jones as Jessica Johnson, and Bruce Kerr as Lieutenant Keogh. The series aired in 1975 and had a total of 13 episodes, each approximately 60 minutes long.
