Bagdad Cafe was a comedy series that aired in 1990 and was based on the 1987 indie film of the same name. It followed the lives of two women, a desert motel and diner owner and her guest, whose husbands had just left them, as they gradually developed a rocky friendship. The show also featured a variety of colorful characters living in the area, creating a humorous and character-driven narrative.
The cast included Jean Stapleton as Jasmine Zweibel and Whoopi Goldberg as Brenda. The series had a runtime of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
