When does Shameless return?

Shameless is an adaptation of Paul Abbott's British series of the same name. The series is set in the South Side of Chicago, Illinois. With the premiere of the ninth season on September 9, 2018, Shameless became the longest-running scripted original series in Showtime's history.
The series depicts the dysfunctional family of Frank Gallagher, a neglectful single father of six. He spends his days drunk, high, or in search of money, while his children need to learn to take care of themselves.
