Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series. The show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet, and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. The first series of 52 five-minute episodes began on Channel 5 on 31 May 2004. In the United States, the series first aired as part of Cartoon Network's Tickle-U preschool programming block.
