Little House on the Prairie is an American Western drama television series loosely based on the best-selling book series by Laura Ingalls Wilder. The series is centered on the Ingalls family, who live on a farm near Walnut Grove, Minnesota, in the 1870s–90s. The show's central characters are Charles Ingalls (farmer and mill worker), his wife Caroline, and their three daughters, Mary, Laura, and Carrie, though the family expands with the birth of daughter Grace and adoption of son Albert in season five.
