Late Night with Seth Meyers is an American late-night news and political satire variety talk show. The show premiered on February 24, 2014, and is produced by Broadway Video and Universal Television. It is the fourth incarnation of the Late Night franchise, originated by David Letterman. Until August 2024, the show featured bandleader Fred Armisen and the 8G Band as the show's house band. Meyers was appointed host when Jimmy Fallon was announced to become the next host of The Tonight Show.
