Homicide: Life on the Street

The series was created by Paul Attanasio and based on David Simon's book Homicide: A Year on the Killing Streets. It ran for seven seasons and 122 episodes on NBC from January 31, 1993, to May 21, 1999. Andre Braugher emerged as a breakout star through his portrayal of Detective Frank Pembleton. The show won TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama in 1996, 1997 and 1998.
