The series follows the eponymous Beavis and Butt-Head, a pair of teenage slackers. The characters originated in Mike Judge's 1992 short film Frog Baseball. The series ran for seven seasons from March 8, 1993, to November 28, 1997. It was revived with an eighth season airing on MTV from October 27, 2011, to December 29, 2011. A second revival on an initial two season order is scheduled to release on Paramount+.
The series centers on two unintelligent teenage delinquent couch potatoes named Beavis and Butt-Head (both voiced by Judge) They attend school at Highland High in a town named Highland, located somewhere in Texas or New Mexico. If they are not at school or out causing mayhem, they are at home watching TV, looking at pornographic magazines, or eating nachos and other junk food.
