Baywatch is an American action drama television series about lifeguards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles County, California, and Hawaii. It was created by Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann, who produced the show throughout its 11-season run. The show was cancelled after its first season on NBC, but survived through syndication and later became the most-watched television series in the world. It spawned a spin-off series, Baywatch Nights, which aired for two seasons from 1995 to 1997.
