Zorro ended on December 2, 1992, on Freeform. The series concluded after four seasons, with its final episode airing on that date.
Zorro was a comedy-action-adventure series set in Spanish California during the early 1800s. It chronicled the adventures of Don Diego de la Vega, a young nobleman who led a double life as El Zorro, a masked hero protecting the people of the Pueblo de Los Angeles. Disguised behind a bookish facade, Diego kept his alter ego secret from everyone except his servant Felipe. The show featured conflicts with the Alcalde, a symbol of distant Spanish authority, and included the character Victoria Escalante, a cantina owner and independent woman who served as the love interest.
The series starred Duncan Regehr as Don Diego de la Vega and Zorro, with Patrice Martinez as Victoria Escalante. Other cast members included James Victor, Juan Diego Botto, Henry Darrow, J.G. Hertzler, and Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. The show had a runtime of 30 minutes per episode. It remains a notable example of early 1990s adventure television set in historical California.
